@Jason My use of "small" to describe Jackie's painkiller addiction was meant to be sarcastic. We haven't seen how extensive her use will be (or what the results will be) but I think it's pretty clear it will play a substantial role during the series.

I really liked Nurse Jackie, too. It was one of the best pilots I've seen in awhile -- immediately introducing us to the characters in a meaningful way and setting the parameters of the show pretty well.

Jackie is incredibly likeable as is the style of the show. The comedy moments are not too big but are enjoyable while the dramatic moments linger.

My only quibble with your review is I'm not sure how "small" that painkiller addiction is.
